Tebo won the A semi, locking up the top spot for the final. His semifinal run wasn't without some challenges, however, dropping back to 8th place just before the midway point. Tebo clawed his way back to the lead just five laps before the finish. Tebo held the top spot to claim the first place on the starting grid for the final.

The action in the final wasn't as dramatic as the semi, but still packed with the World's fastest drivers so it promised to be a battle. Tebo rose to the occasion and set a blistering pace in the opening laps to open a gap from the rest of the field. He held the lead position for all but one of the 69 laps where the lead changed during pit stops. Tebo quickly regained the lead on the next lap and never gave up the lead again. The racing was close during the crossover of the pit stops, but Tebo was able to hold a comfortable 10-second lead to the finish line, taking the top honors at Neo '09.
