While most of the attention was focused last week on the ROAR Off-Road Electric Nationals in Nebraska, NorCal Hobbies hosted their 1^st Annual Northern California Off-Road Challenge.

Tyler Vik who is mainly know for racing 1/8 scale off-road nitro, decided to throw down for this event. Local fast guy Kevin Jelich was also in attendace. Team Associated’s Frank Root made the long drive up from SoCal to try his luck against some of the top NorCal drivers.

At the end of qualifying it was Frank Root who was TQ overall in the 4wd Modified Class.

Kevin Jelich then went on to win A-Main #1 with his Kyosho Lazer ZX5-FS.

Then Tyler Vik went on to win A-Main #2 and #3 with his Kyosho Lazer ZX5-FS taking home the title!
